🚀 Feature Requests

Accept BQID Everywhere BUID is Accepted

Added: December 8, 2025

Request: Update UI to accept BQID (Contact ID, format C-000000000) in all places where BUID is currently accepted.

Locations to update:

• Navigation search box (top of page)
• Alumni search filters
• Batch Search input
• Event RSVP Converter (if applicable)
• Any other ID input fields

Backend support: Already in place

• Alumni.filter_by_bqids("C-000... C-000...") — batch scope
• Alumni.find_by(contact_id: "C-000...") — single lookup
• AlumniLookupService.find(bqid: "C-000...") — service lookup

Implementation notes:

• BQID format: C- prefix followed by 9 digits (e.g., C-000300255)
• Detection: Check if input starts with C- to route to BQID lookup
• Display: Show both BUID and BQID in search results for clarity

Priority: Low (enhancement)
